He may not be remembered as one of the best players in the history of Manchester United, but alongside his brother, Rafael Da Silva donned the United shirt with great excitement and showed a lot of desire and passion to represent the club's crest.
The former Brazilian full back was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson alongside his brother, Fabio Da Silva and they both had decent spells at Old Trafford, winning titles at the club even though they didn't play crucial roles in getting the medals. United signing the two players further confirmed how Sir Alex would sometimes go for unknown players that he would try to build into top players.

Rafael da Silva has won several trophies in his career with the majority coming during his time in the Premier League with Manchester United. Rafael da Silva joined Manchester United alongside his twin brother, Fabio da Silva at the start of 2008 and they were both ineligible for the first team at the time until they turned 18. Rafael saw more action at Manchester United than his twin brother as he broke into the first team at Old Trafford before Fabio.

Brazilian fullback Rafael da Silva won the majority of his honours while he was a Manchester United player for almost a decade. The right-back was on the playing roster at the Theatre of Dreams for a period of seven years between 2008 and 2015.
Rafael da Silva won the Premier League titlein his full season with Manchester United. He was part of the Red Devils squad that won the league title during the 2008/09 campaign and the Brazilian went on to add two more titles before he finally left the club in 2015.
Brazilian club Fluminense and Manchester United had an agreement for the transfer of Rafael da Silva and his twin brother, Fabio in February 2007 but they didn't move to the English club until January 2008.

Istanbul Basaksehir right-back Rafael da Silva is a Brazilian international following his two caps for the senior team two decades ago. His international journey with Brazil started with the u-17 team before he was part of the u-23 squad to the 2012 London Olympic Games. His debut for the senior team came shortly before the Olympics.
The former Fluminense and Lyon defender could have played for Portugal despite representing Brazil at the u-17 level. Rafael da Silva played 12 times for the Brazil u-17s in 2012. He was part of the Brazilian squad to the 2007 u-17 FIFA World Cup tournament in South Korea.

Istanbul Basaksehir defender Rafael da Silva made his international bow for Brazil when he featured for his country at the 2007 edition of the FIFA u-17 World Cup tournament in South Korea.
Rafael da Silva could have played for Portugal if he didn't make his debut for the Brazilian national team after the right-back was approached by former Portugal national team manager Carlos Queiroz, who's also a former assistant manager at Manchester United under the Sir Alex Ferguson era.

Rafael da Silva is still a darling amongst the Manchester United fans despite the fact that he is no longer at the club.
He's still a favourite amongst the fans many years after leaving the club. Rafael left Manchester United reluctantly in the summer of 2015 during the Louis Van Gaal managerial reign at the club. He was not getting much playing time at the club under Van Gaal and that led to his transfer to French giants Lyon.

Former Manchester United defender Rafael Da Silva may not be regarded as a club legend, but he was surely one of the most underrated players that featured under the great Sir Alex Ferguson. On this day back in 2015, the Brazilian confirmed that he was leaving Old Trafford in favor of a move to French side Olympique Lyonnaise.
Following his inability to nail down a starting berth at United under the club's former manager, Silva was deemed surplus to requirements at the club and was told that he needed to look for another challenge elsewhere as there was no chance for him in the team anymore.
